I recently finished reading a book by Sydney Sheldon, by the name "The Naked Face". It is said that this was the first novel that he had written, in the series of other books he wrote.
I remember reading my first Sydney Sheldon book, "The Best Laid Plans". I was a little young to read it, as I was told once, but I went ahead and read it anyways. When I read that book, I was intrigued by the way the author wrote the entire story, while inter-relating each character. Personally i have found his books keeping me at the edge of the seat, with the suspense and thrills that he has written in his books.
Coming back to his first book, after reading it i found that it was a pretty simple story, with minimal required character. The story was predictable enough for me to guess the ending, even before I could get to the end.
It was not what the kind of writing that I expected after reading his other books, but it was his first novel that he wrote. But it still was good enough to read it once.
